Gunny's Corner

We here at Gunny’s are blessed to have had an amazing life with four or five lifetimes of experiences all in this one. Having served on active duty for 21 years in my beloved Marine Corps and 7 more in direct service of my country as a contractor, I am still surprised by the reflection in the mirror that shows a much grayer haired induvial than I seem to remember. We have lived, operated, hunted and fished on every continent and 40 plus countries. We will be sharing hunting trip, training, donation and other opportunities here on this tab as well as snip its of wisdom our likes and dislikes. We are unapologetically patriotic and live our life with a guiding principle of service to our God, Country family both blood and the collective that is our brother and sisters in our community and in service of our country.


 To start off Gunny’s Corner, we wanted to share one of our favorite poems. This poem is how we have chosen to live our life and it has made a resounding difference.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

And sorry I could not travel both

And be one traveler, long I stood

And looked down one as far as I could

To where it bent in the undergrowth.

Then took the other, as just as fair,

And having perhaps the better claim,

Because it was grassy and wanted wear.

Though as for that the passing there

Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay

In leaves no step had trodden black.

Oh, I kept the first for another day!

Yet knowing how way leads on to way,

I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh

Somewhere ages and ages hence:

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—

I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference.
